Sea Foods



Seafood is any form of sea life regarded as food by humans. Seafood prominently includes fish and shellfish. Shellfish include various species of molluscscrustaceans, and echinoderms. Historically, sea mammals such as whales and dolphins have been consumed as food, though that happens to a lesser extent in modern times. Edible sea plants, such as someseaweeds and microalgae, are widely eaten as seafood around the world, especially in Asia (see the category of sea vegetables). In North America, although not generally in the United Kingdom, the term "seafood" is extended to fresh waterorganisms eaten by humans, so all edible aquatic life may be referred to as seafood. For the sake of completeness, this article includes all edible aquatic life.

 Crabs are generally covered with a thick exoskeleton, composed primarily of calcium carbonate,[4]and armed with a single pair of chelae (claws). Crabs are found in all of the world's oceans, while many crabs live in fresh water and on land, particularly in tropical regions. Crabs vary in size from the pea crab, a few millimetres wide, to the Japanese spider crab, with a leg span of up to 4 metres

Diwal / Angel Wing Clams is One of the sweetest most succulent shellfish I have ever tasted. A specialty of Negros and Capiz, these incredibly delicious clams were considered nearly endangered a few years ago. Harvesting them was banned or curtailed for a period of several years, and it seems they have recovered a bit and are now being sold again in small quantities.
